The international equestrian world mourns the profound loss of a shining star, Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm, the magnificent 12-year-old Brasileiro de Hipismo (BH) mare, who tragically passed away this Tuesday, June 24th. Her premature departure due to an intestinal torsion sent a wave of deep sadness and shock throughout the show jumping community, silencing one of the most promising voices of Brazilian sport on the global stage.
Miss Blue, registered with the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) under the name Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm, was the extraordinary partner of renowned Olympic rider Yuri Mansur. This iconic partnership between Miss Blue and her rider not only marked the sport's history but also solidified the reputation of the Brasileiro de Hipismo horse and national show jumping, opening new horizons of glory in Europe's most prestigious arenas. Her career was punctuated by monumental achievements, including an unprecedented victory in the Grand Prix 5 Europe at CHIO Aachen in 2023, a landmark for Brazil in show jumping. The list of their accomplishments continued to grow, with triumphs and podium finishes in elite CSIO5* events, such as the Rolex Grand Prix of Rome (won in May 2025), the Hamburg Grand Prix, the Fontainebleau Grand Prix, and significant Nations Cup medals, including a Gold in La Baule and Silver in St. Gallen. In peak form and with the Olympic dream clearly within her grasp, Miss Blue was poised to achieve even greater heights.

At the core of Miss Blue's singular talent lay her deep roots as an authentic Brasileiro de Hipismo (BH). Bred by the visionary Haras Rosa Mystica, located in Salto de Pirapora - São Paulo, Brazil, she was a living testament to the growing strength of Brazilian sport horse breeding. Her lineage was a blueprint for success, uniting the world's top show jumping stallion, Chacco- Blue, with the exceptional Brazilian mare Magnolia Mystic Rose.
Magnolia Mystic Rose's story is, by itself, remarkable. She is a foundational mare, representing five generations of maternal lines born on Brazilian soil. In a move that underscores Brazil's commitment to genetic preservation and improvement, Magnolia Mystic Rose was recently successfully cloned at Haras Rosa Mystica, marking a historic achievement as the first clone of the Brasileiro de Hipismo breed.
Miss Blue was at the forefront of this exciting wave, inspiring a new generation of talent and solidifying Brazil's place among the show jumping powers. She was a brilliant example of the increasing sophistication and global recognition of Brazilian equestrian sport. Her triumphs elevated the profile of the BH breed, demonstrating its undeniable capacity to produce world-class athletes capable of competing at the highest level. Brazil's equestrian scene is experiencing a vibrant evolution, with dedicated breeders and riders who are consistently delivering impressive results on the international stage.
The pain of her loss is palpable. Yuri Mansur, her partner in countless victories, is understandably devastated, with his family requesting privacy during this difficult time.
“A candle that burns so bright and so beautifully can never burn for so long. Thank you, Miss Blue, for everything. One day, we’ll be together again” Posted Yuri Mansur on Instagram.

Although her time with us was tragically short, Miss Blue's legacy will endure. She was a pioneer, a symbol of what talent, dedication, and Brazilian breeding can achieve on the world stage. Her intelligence, her indomitable spirit, and her grace will continue to inspire the equestrian ambitions of a nation and serve as a testament to the prosperous future of the brazilian sport and breeding.
Our deepest condolences go out to her owner, Thalita Olsen de Almeida, to Yuri Mansur, to Haras Rosa Mystica, and to all those whose lives were touched by this magnificent mare. The blue star may have dimmed, but its light will forever guide the path of future generations.
