CURRENT TOP FIVE WOMEN SHOWJUMPERS

As its International Women’s Day, lets take a look at this year’s rankings to see which are the current top-five ranked women showjumping riders on the Hippomundo leaderboard.

Top of the list (and ranked eighth place in this year’s rankings) is Janne Friederike Meyer Zimmerman (pictured), one of two German riders in this group.

The lucrative Doha circuit has accounted for Janne’s prizemoney haul so far in 2025 with €108,000 earned for hers and Messi van’t Ruytershof’s second place in a €540,000 Grand Prix class at Al Shaqab.

Another Belgian-bred - the evergreen H&M Indiana, (last year’s top earner in the Hippomundo rankings) won that Grand Prix (see the full results here for Sweden’s Malin Baryard-Johnsson.

Like the Middle Eastern circuit, Mexico has sprung onto the international scene with six-figure prizemoney now a common feature at shows. Her third place result in a 1.45m Grand Prix at San Miguel de Allende CSI2* with the Holsteiner HSB Caracola has catapulted Ivanna Gardara Robinson Bours up the overall rankings (17th place).

Two places below in 19th. Great Britain’s Millie Allen is also busy on the Qatar circuit. Her biggest win there this winter was courtesy of the Zangersheide nine-year-old Clearround Il Mondo Z in a 1.55m class that netted the pair €54,450.

Sophie Hinners, the second German rider in the top-five, had divided her winter between a World Cup qualifier campaign and Middle East. Her results place her 22nd, one step above Malin Baryard-Johnsson and her chief earner is Iron Dames Singclair.
