With his recent victory in the Rolex Grand Prix at the CSI5* in Geneva last weekend, United Touch S has made his mark on the big leagues. Let's take a closer look at this horse, who is exceptional in so many ways.

An extraordinary pedigree

United Touch S is a Westfalian stallion, born in 2012 to Julius-Peter Sinnack, whose sire is Untouched and whose dam is Touch of Class.

Many top-level horses have maternal lines with numerous black types in their pedigree. United Touch S's maternal line is unusual, to say the least, as the Westfalian stallion is inbred to his granddam, Cantate Touch. Indeed, Cantate Touch, a mare who competed at the highest level under Ben Schroder, is United Touch S's granddam on both his maternal and paternal sides. Cantate Touch is a daughter of Ludger Beebaum's Olympic mare Classic Touch.

Touch of Class, the dam of United Touch S, has already produced horses who have competed at a high level, such as Deauville S - HLR 121 - (by Diamant de Semilly) ridden in CSI5* by Laura Kraut; Zypria S N. O.P - HLR 118 - (by Canturo) who took part in the Tokyo Olympic Games ridden by Willem Greve; or New Classic S - HR 48 - (by Nabab de Rêve) ridden by the Norwegian Christine Gjerstad in 1m45.

On his father's side, Untouched is a son of Untouchable 27 with Cantate Touch. Untouched, born in 2007, is a Westaflian stallion who competed in CSI5* under British rider Nick Skelton and then Ben Maher with an HLR of 94.

United Touch S, the good student

Already runner-up in Germany as a 5-year-old with Hendrik Dowe, United Touch S crossed the border and gradually progressed to the top level with two Dutch riders: Willem Greve and Bart Bles. Bart Bles took him up to CSI5* level at 'S Hertogenbosch in March 2022.

Germany's Richard Vogel competed with the stallion for the first time in September 2022, where the pair already won their first event at 1.45m. The pair continued to evolve and ended 2022 in style by winning the World Cup Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

Finalists in the World Cup in Omaha, the pair finished 15th before taking part in the Nations Cups in Rome, La Baule, Hickstead and the final in Barcelona. With his first CSI5* victory in Geneva, United Touch S has shown that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.

The horse now has a Hippomundo Rating of 117p. See his statistics page here.

An established stallion

United Touch S currently has 181 products registered in our database, the oldest of which were born in 2016. 4 of them compete at 1m45 level, including Una Mariposa, Independence Touch Bba, Usain Blanc S & Ulrich G.

In the 2023 stallion rankings, United Touch S is ranked 1020th out of all stallions and 13th out of stallions with oldest offspring of 7-year-old, with 23 products counting in terms of earnings.

A horse that will undoubtedly be talked about in the years to come.
