There are different ways to calculate the value of a mare: the prize money of all her offspring, the winning percentage of the offspring, the number of #Black-Type offspring, and so on... But what about the Hippomundo Power Value© ? This is a ranking of the average level of the offspring of a mare that have ever participated internationally and are in our database.

BWP mare Ta Belle van Sombeke, born in 1996 at breeder Luc Hofman in Belgium, is still the absolute top mare in the Hippomundo Power Value© list if we look at it across all ages. She is closely followed by Larthago, a Holstein mare born in 1993 who is known as the mother of, among others, the stallion Harley VDL. Narcotique de Muze II also scores high on the Hippomundo Power Value list, born in 1997 at Joris De Brabander in Belgium. In the top 10 we see mares that are all well over 20 years old. Now we want to know who will succeed these mares?

Reggae de Talma, new generations Power Value© mare

If we look at the list with an age limit of 20 years, the SF mare Reggae de Talma comes out on top. She already ranked 10th in the full list. This Cento mare was born in 2005 at Michel Guiot's Haras de Talma in France. Her best-known offspring include Coktail de Talma, a Baloubet du Rouet stallion who jumps at 1.60m level under the saddle of Grégory Wathelet (BEL), and his full sister Cocaine de Talma jumps at 1.50m level with Jana Wargers (GER). Her oldest offspring, Une de L’Othain, made a sensation under the saddle of Harrie Smolders (NED), and Valkyrie de Talma, a mare by Diamant de Semilly, performed at high level with Rachel Cornacchia (CAN).

Exellentia de Muze following in the footsteps of mother Narcotique de Muze II

Like her mother, Exellentia de Muze takes second place among the new generation Power Value mares. She was born in 2005 with breeder Joris De Brabander in Belgium, and is a daughter of For Pleasure. In the meantime, Exellentia has no fewer than 35 offspring, of which 11 are Black-Type horses. Her oldest offspring, Heroine de Muze (by Tinka’s Boy), immediately jumped to 1.60m level with Taizo Sugitani (JPN). In turn, this mare is particularly successful in breeding with already 8 Black-Type horses among her offspring. Teekitiezie de Muze, Exellentia's full sister, ranks 8th in our list of new Power Value mares. She is still successfully used in the breeding of Haras d’Ick in France, the owner of this mare. Succession guaranteed for Narcotique de Muze II!

Van't Roosakker power mares

If we select a minimum of 10 offspring, Evita van 't Roosakker is the best-scoring mare from the "van 't Roosakker" line. However, with fewer than 10 offspring, only MoM's Gatoucha van 't Rooskakker and Electra van 't Roosakker score better among the new generation from this dam line. Evita van 't Roosakker is a direct daughter of the famous Usha van 't Roosakker in combination with Nabab de Rêve. She was born in 2004 at Marc Kluskens in Belgium and has 26 offspring that are older than 4 years, of which 15 are sport horses and 7 are Black-Type offspring. Luigi vd Bisschop (by Bamako de Muze) is her highest scoring offspring at 1.60m level. Her latest offspring were registered in 2021 at Stal den Bisschop and 't Kattenheye in Belgium.

Inathina van 't Ruytershof scores high in the Power Value© list thanks to her brilliant offspring

Messi van 't Ruytershof is the well-known Plot Blue son of Inathina van 't Ruytershof, who shines at the highest level with Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman (GER). H&M Luna van 't Ruytershof is also on the rise under the saddle of Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) at 1.60m level. Inathina herself is a daughter of the 1.60m mare Diamanthina v/h Ruytershof and was born in 2008 at Stal 't Ruytershof. Inathina is already the mother of 7 Black-Type horses, and she is still actively used in breeding. Her latest offspring were registered under the name "Du Bonheur" by breeder Annelies Van Steelandt.

Chance for Ever, Chacco-Blue Power Value© mare at 5th place

Chance For Ever born in Hannover in 2005 in the breeding of Gestüt Lewitz/Paul Schockemöhle. Among her offspring we see 12 sport horses of which 5 are Black-Type. In combination with Diarado, Diamants Aurora and Chaccala were most successful in show jumping, and even a Black-Type eventing horse.

These mares are on the top of the list of Hippomundo’s -new generation- Power Value Mares. They have shown exceptional breeding performances and their offspring have achieved success at the highest levels of competition, making them a valuable asset to horse breeding.
