The sun was shining, the crowds were loud, and the pressure was on, but Karl Cook and Caracole de la Roque (Zandor Z × Kannan) delivered when it mattered most. In a lightning-fast jump-off, they outpaced the competition and claimed victory in the Falsterbo Grand Prix with a time of 43.28 seconds.
Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen wasn’t far behind. With Con Quidam RB (Quinar × Cardino), she put in a smooth, clear round in 43.74 seconds to secure second place, just fractions behind Cook.
Third place went to Swiss champion Steve Guerdat and his experienced mare Dynamix de Belheme (Snaike de Blondel × Cornet Obolensky). Another clear round, another tight time: 44.02 seconds.
The first round of the Grand Prix was a true test, a technical course that demanded control, accuracy, and a constant push to keep the pace up on the long stretches. But it was the jump-off that separated the contenders from the champions. Cook and Caracole de la Roque hit their rhythm early, stayed sharp through the turns, and never looked back.
A perfect example of what it takes to win at the highest level: trust, precision, and just the right amount of boldness.
