Consistent performers: these 6-year-olds have the longest clear-round streaks

Posted on 24 Mar 2026 by redactie Hippomundo

Earlier this month, we highlighted the most consistent 7-year-old show jumpers competing at the international level. But even among the 6-year-olds, there are already horses standing out for their ability to perform clear rounds week after week.

For this analysis, we once again delved into the Hippomundo ranking of clear rounds in international competition. From that extensive dataset, we specifically selected 6-year-old horses—a crucial age in their training where consistency and caution are key. At the 1.25m level, we see one clear frontrunner with no fewer than 12 consecutive clear rounds in 2026.

Gypsy Casalensky dominates with an exceptional series of clear rounds

With 12 consecutive clear rounds, Gypsy Casalensky is the undisputed number one in this ranking. The son of Casall, bred by Joseph Allen in the Irish ISH studbook and out of a Cornet Obolensky mare on his dam’s side, is currently ridden by British rider Adrian Speight. Since early January, the pair has been competing at the MET in Oliva, where they have put in an impressive performance with nothing but clear rounds and multiple podium finishes. With a clear round percentage of 100% and a Hippomundo rating of 44p, Gypsy Casalensky not only leads this ranking but also tops the list of best 6-year-old show jumpers on Hippomundo.

This ranking doesn't necessarily highlight the most spectacular winners, but rather the horses that consistently perform well week after week. And it is precisely that consistency that often forms the foundation for a successful career at the highest level.

Whether these 6-year-olds can maintain their flawless form as the competition gets tougher remains to be seen in the coming years. But one thing is certain: they’ve already made a name for themselves.
