His father Hand in Glove xx ran Prix st George dressage and jumped at GP level. His dam Elvira Mail is descended from the GP stallion Laudanum xx and her dam Adoret came into the possession of Haras de Brullemail due to downsizing of the mare stack at Zangersheide. The importance of thoroughbred influence
Eventing remains a discipline in which thoroughbreds play an important role. This is evidenced by the ranking of stallions according to the performance of their offspring in international competitions, where stallions such as Ituango xx, Stan the Man xx, Helikon xx, and Classic xx score highly. Thoroughbreds are known for their athletic ability, stamina and mentality, all essential traits for an eventing horse.
Which stallion suits your mare?
When choosing a stallion, consider your mare's qualities and areas for improvement. Ask yourself the following questions:
-
Does your mare have enough blood and gallop, or should you choose a stallion that adds more stamina?
-
Is your mare already athletic enough, or does she need additional jumping ability?
-
What is her temperament and what does the stallion pass on in terms of character?
Choosing a stallion depends on the goal you have in mind for the foal. Hippomundo's rankings offer valuable insights into which stallions have proven themselves based on the performance of their offspring.
By selecting the right stallion, you will increase your chances of having a future eventing champion!
