Posted on 27 Dec 2021 by Charlotte Smet

In honour of Jumping Mechelen which was supposed to be held this week, but was cancelled due to Covid-19 for the second year in a row, we would like to go back in time and take a look at the past World Cup winners in Mechelen. Hippomundo has full results from all the past editions of Jumping Mechelen since 2007. Let us take a look.

Since 2007, just two riders have managed to win the World Cup twice, traditionally held each year on the 30th of December. Daniel Deusser and Christian Ahlmann won the World Cup competition in Jumping Mechelen, traditionally held each year on the 30th December, on two separate occasions.

Daniel Deusser won the class in 2013 aboard the Cornet Obolensky-son, Cornet d'Amour. He was also the winner of the last edition of the World Cup to be held in Mechelen in 2019. This time he took the win on Killer Queen VDM, by Eldorado vd Zeshoek TN.

Christian Ahlmann was victorious in the Mechelen World Cup back in 2015 riding Taloubet Z and repeated that performance in 2018 on Clintrexo Z.
